Question

Can you drink alcohol on Ozempic, Wegovy or Zepbound?

✓Last reviewed · Written by Dr. George Grunberger · Medical review: pending — clinician review in progress · How we review

Short answer

The labels do not ban alcohol, but alcohol can worsen nausea and, with insulin or sulfonylureas, raise the risk of low blood sugar. Heavy drinking also raises pancreatitis risk. Ask your prescriber what is safe for you.

General information based on official labels. Your prescriber or pharmacist can advise on your situation.
